Located in the centre of Europe, Germany is a triad of mountain ranges, uplands and low-land plains – the Bavarian Alps in the South, the pleasant wooded mountains of the Mittelgebirge in the centre of the country and the low country along the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts in the North. Germany´s natural landscapes offer fascinating opportunities for an unforgettable vacation: from water sports and bicycling to hiking and skiing – Anything is possible!
Which German city offers the most interesting art encounters? Such a question is difficult to answer. It is one that German cities contend over from the north to the south. In the meantime, you can visit more than 5,000 art and exhibit houses in Germany overall.

Cologne (Köln) is one of Germany’s most original cities, with its own dialect, its own style of beerbrewing and an inimitably witty and fun-loving character that is particularly boisterous during the city’s famous Carnival. Cologne is world-famous for its twin-spired cathedral, its romantic Rhine panorama and the Eau de Cologne to which it gave its name. Today the city’s character is a rich combination of modern lifestyle with 2,000 years of historical and cultural heritage, from Roman and medieval to the present day. And there is never a shortage of things to do and see, including countless events, live music, theatre, busy shopping streets and modern glass shopping centres and malls |

Learn German in Germany. Our Cologne German school is located south of the city centre in the so-called Südstadt. From the central train station journey time by metro is approx. 12 minutes. From Chlodwigplatz it’s just a five-minute walk to the school. This is a perfect setting to study German. Südstadt is one of the most popular parts of Cologne. It is lively and varied, with pleasant parks, small shops, restaurants with traditional cuisine from all over the world, and there are bars and cafes on every street corner. Many cultural traditions are still celebrated around Chlodwigplatz today. No wonder – this is the birth place of the famous Cologne Carnival! |
