Located in the centre of Europe, Germany is a triad of mountain ranges, uplands and low-land plains – the Bavarian Alps in the South, the pleasant wooded mountains of the Mittelgebirge in the centre of the country and the low country along the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts in the North. Germany´s natural landscapes offer fascinating opportunities for an unforgettable vacation: from water sports and bicycling to hiking and skiing – Anything is possible!
Which German city offers the most interesting art encounters? Such a question is difficult to answer. It is one that German cities contend over from the north to the south. In the meantime, you can visit more than 5,000 art and exhibit houses in Germany overall.

In the south of Lower Saxony, between the Harz Mountains and the Weser river, lies the tradition-steeped university city of Göttingen. The historic Old Town, the medieval Town Hall, churches, half-timbered houses, pubs, pavement cafés and many attractive little shops make the city centre a wonderful place for strolling and relaxing. If you want to know why the statue of Goose Liesl in the market square fountain is known as the “most-kissed girl in the world” you’ll have to come to Göttingen, which is also famous for its lively cultural and arts scene, with excellent theatres, orchestras and festivals. |

The enchanting medieval town of Göttingen is located in an area of central Germany where the purest German is spoken. Whether buying your food in the supermarket or eating dinner with your hosts, you can be sure that you will be hearing perfect "high German", free of any regional accents or dialects.
Our German school in Göttingen is located in the pedestrian area of the historical centre of the town. You will find lots of coffee bars, pubs, discotheques, theatres and cinemas just around the corner. Also most of the bus routes stop outside the door. The German school has a friendly atmosphere with highly motivated and qualified teachers.
