Barcelona is one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in the world. It has a huge number of attractions including a city centre which retains its medieval street plan; some stunning modernist architecture including several buildings by Gaudi (The Sagrada Familia, the Casa Milà...), Spain’s most famous architect; dozens of museums including one dedicated to Picasso, another to Miró and yet another to Barcelona’s world famous football club!
Barcelona is almost as lively at night as it is during the day and it has a unique, exciting atmosphere, which provides the visitor with a truly unforgettable experience.
The city enjoys an almost perfect climate making it an ideal place to be at any time of the year. It even has its own 4 kilometers of sandy beaches, which are less than 15 minutes away from the school.

Spanish classes are given on the first floor in an old building in the center of the city, close to the University. It has 10 classrooms, some of them with air conditioning , has a video room and the school lends books or videos. |

Classes are based on a communicative approach. Students enjoy studying in a friendly atmosphere where they develop speaking and listening skills related to daily situations; however, grammar and writing exercises are not ignored.
The standard Spanish course, 20 lessons, is supplemented by 2 lessons per day of language instruction. In the event of only 1 student in one level 6 individual lessons will be held per week.

Students are provided with accommodation in private flats with kitchen facilities. Each student has his/her own room, and sheets and towels are provided. Flats are shared with the owner, and occasionally with other Tandem students. The stay begins on a Sunday and finishes on a Saturday |

Best airport for arrival is El Prat in Barcelona.
Students can take an airport bus from Plaza Catalunya. From there they will have to take the metro or a taxi. |
